Students have been presenting their Libros Abecedarios over the last week. We have seen and heard some superb, entertaining, artistic and creative work. We will display some of this work at our upcoming Open House on 8 october.
We have also been learning the spanish alphabet as well as the phonemes associated with different letters and letter combinations.
We will begin cracking down with a bit more studying as we roll in to october. Students are responsible for identifying and knowing the spanish speaking countries as well as capitals. The QUIZLET site is a great way to study the capitals and there are other sites that have fun ways to study the maps.
Students will be given their next project at the end of this week. The BOLSA CAFE project involves a two minute introductory presentation in which students use props which they take from a decorated bag in order to talk about themselves. We will be working on the project for two weeks and will begin presentations on october 23.
