Spanish 1-2

We are finishing this week our study of the family along with comparisons and dates and numbers from 100 - 1000.   We are taking the Unidad 3 Leccion 2 examen this week.  Next week we begin Unidad 4 in Avancemos as we study clothing, shopping, seasons, places in town and transportation. Our next project will involve creating a travel guide for one of the regions in Spain.  The project will describe the weather and seasons of that region and tell the reader the appropriate clothing for each season.  It will also discuss shopping and other activities in different cities of that region.  Students will be receiving the rubric for the project next week.

Spanish 5-6

We continue our extended study and practice of the subjunctive mood which is used to express opinion, doubt, hope and desire.  We are currently reading a story about Riley, a student who encounters problems common to high school students.  We are giving Riley suggestions about what he needs to do in order to alleviate his problems.  Our next project will be a skit in which students play the roles of students who have problems.   Their friends help them overcome these problems with sugerencias and advice using the subjunctive mood.  The rubric for the project will be placed in student hands next week.
