El Dia de Los Muertos is coming next week.
Students are being given the opportunity to earn some extra credit by adventuring into the community and participating in a  D.D.L.M. activity.  Students should do some research on celebrations in San Diego, attend the event, take pictures and write a report/reflection with the photos of what they experienced, learned or want to know.  Spanish 1-2 students can write in English while Spanish 5-6 students should write their reflections in Spanish.  There are numerous events taking place throughout the county.  Visit http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/oct/29/dia-de-los-muertos-celebrations/ for a list of events or http://www.shermanheights.com for details on a great spot to see altars and other activities this weekend.
